Not just a kit version of the RTR, the Losi TLR Tuned LMT kit includes new TLR parts to give competitors and all LMT fans next-level performance and durability.
The Losi LMT monster truck platform has earned the admiration of full-scale and RC racing fans alike. Its scale details perfectly capture everything Monster Jam enthusiasts love about the 12,000 pound, 1500 horsepower beasts that race and freestyle at their local stadiums. The Losi development team went to work to improve the race winning pedigree of the LMT and push its performance to an even higher level.
Upgraded with top-of-the-line TLR option parts, this kit checks all of the boxes on the wish lists of RC monster truck fans — especially those who are ultra-competitive racers and those who are drawn to the opportunities and rewards of kit building. The TLR Tuned LMT kit represents the absolute pinnacle of RC solid axle monster truck design, dedicated to winning and to looking good while doing it.
Taking advantage of the TLR brand's unparalleled racing heritage and expertise, this kit raises the LMT platform to new heights of performance. The lower, shorter stance of its carbon fiber chassis plates reduces weight and allows for more body options to be mounted at a racing stance when assembled. TLR shocks with machined aluminum, hard-anodized shock bodies and caps allow quick ride height adjustments and offer a precise, low friction feel. You can tune the suspension for taking the lead on asphalt, dirt, grass, or other racing surfaces. The kit's durable aluminum upgrades include front spindles and carriers, rear toe blocks, 4-links, and cross bars.
Considering all of the improved, race-focused technology in this kit, it's a smart investment even for competitors who now have a Losi LMT monster truck. Use the electronics from your current truck with this kit and you'll actually spend less getting a whole new LMT — with the next-level performance and durability you crave — compared to buying parts separately to make the same upgrades on the one you already own.
The Losi TLR Tuned LMT kit is a limited release. No more will be produced after the initial quantity is sold out. Be sure to get yours now to experience the difference that the TLR true passion for racing makes!
The Losi TLR Tuned LMT kit's carbon fiber chassis plates are 100% racing focused. They have a lower, shorter stance that reduces weight and allows for more body options to be mounted at a racing stance when assembled.
Identical to Team Losi Racing shocks, the 12mm shock bodies and caps are machined aluminum and hard anodized. Threaded shock bodies allow for quick ride height adjustments. The machined shock pistons and shock guides offer a precise, low friction feel, while new spring rates optimize the TLR Tuned LMT kit's ability to handle rough terrain and land big jumps.
The kit's aluminum front spindles and carriers increase durability in a high impact area while their precision machining makes the steering more precise and consistent. Larger bearings are also used to support the additional abuse from racing.
Aluminum Rear Toe BlocksThe aluminum rear toe blocks now use a larger bearing to support the axle to add strength and durability in high stress racing applications.
Aluminum 4-LinksThis new design allows for the shock to be mounted on the 4-link bars rather than the axle, keeping the truck flatter and minimizing weight transfer for greater stability and more predictable cornering.
Aluminum Cross BarsAluminum cross bars provide additional strength and rigidity between the chassis plates, minimizing flex or twist for ultra-consistent performance.
The new, low CG battery tray accepts "shorty" race packs to improve performance by increasing the power to weight ratio and allowing the battery to mount much lower in the truck. This helps drop the center of gravity and increase cornering ability.
The wheelie bump is a scale rear chassis bumper that looks and feels like part of a real monster truck. It also includes a flag mounting boss.
The body mounts allow for multiple ways to secure your body. The cross bars can use hook and loop material for a clean, "no holes" option. Or, the body can use screw top body nuts for a tool-less mounting option. Finally, the body can be permanently mounted using screws and body washers for the ultimate security.
The helical servo saver provides smoother, better centering action while improving servo protection.
After racing and testing the LMT, the Losi development team found that a longer wheelbase increases stability while cornering. The TLR Tuned LMT kit's wheelbase is 1.5 inches longer than the LMT, hitting the magic sweet spot for the perfect balance of stability and quick cornering ability.
