This speaker enclosure + speaker are to replace that pesky weight in the rear of Athearn Genesis locomotives on locomotives that didn't have sound originally. Specifically, GP7, GP9, GP38-2, GP40-2, GP50. This speaker housing replaces the weight in the locomotive. Re-use the two screws from the weight to secure the speaker housing.
