|Get A Hobby! We Sell Fun||
We've noticed lots of people come into the store to check out the new items. That's usually a very good thing, but some of them are just using us to examine the item, ask questions about it and leaving never to be heard from again. They're scanning the item with a smart phone and finding the lowest price on the internet. I wouldn't mind so much if they'd give me a chance to either match the price or add some value added service like a tune up on an R/C car, something the internet dealers just can't do. Our prices are very competitive with the online dealers, but we can't have the lowest price on everything. We want to be here for you for a long time, so let us prove our value!
Testors announced today they are dropping several complete lines. After current stock is exhausted all
Floquil, Pactra, and Pollyscale will be history. Hopefully another manufacturer will pick up some or all of these paints. Let me know soon if you'd like to stock pile any of this and I'd be glad to do what I can.

Lionel Sales Department
We still have some of these cars as of 12/11/12, but they won't last long.
I'm often asked if by customers if I think today's Lionel or MTH trains will increase in value over the years. The answer is "I don't know". I'll ask if they're planning on using their new trains. If so, the value will drop immediately, the same way an automobile will. If they're taken care of today's trains, like those from the golden age of toy trains, can certainly have some value in years to come. How much will depend on the rarity, just as it is in the old train market. I say buy the best train you can afford then enjoy it and care for it over the years with your family and friends. The memories made will be priceless and you'll have a prized family heirloom to passed down through the generations.
I'll try to keep everyone posted on what's new at the shop and new developments in the hobby industry in general. We're still waiting on some of our Lionel and MTH that's been ordered for the Christmas season. Unfortunately,the trains are on a slow boat from China. Lionel is making some cars, the new presidential series, here in the States. If Lionel collectors and operators support this run there's a good chance we'll see more made in America labels on our trains. For the car model guys, I just bought a large collection of kits from the 70's through 2000. A lot of models that you haven't seen for a while. Stop by and take a look. I know you'll see one you've got to have. I also bought a collection of military armor and aircraft model kits. There's some really nice kits at prices that you'll like. I'll leave you with a video of an RC plane being rescued by a real helicopter. It's like a dream come true for the RC pilot!
